Assos is a picturesque fishing village on the west coast of Kefalonia. Assos was founded under Venetian rule and it served as the administrative capital of northern Kefalonia from 1593 onwards.
An impressive Venetian castle is located in Assos, built in 1570 and one of the largest in Greece. A great place to admire the spectacular view and the sunset!
The traditional architecture, the peaceful landscape and four pebbled beaches will amaze you!
Assos village was hit by “Ianos” storm during the summer of 2020. This video was created just before this unfortunate event. Authorities are still working to remedy the damages the storm caused.
Here is the video we created for you from our visit there, using wonderful aerial footage from our drones and cameras.
Enjoy the aerial view of Assos village and relax!
